Job Vacancy: Seasonal Assistant Warden Couple (Cleaning Role)
We are looking for another Warden Couple to join our family and team of wardens for the 2017 Season.
The successful candidates should be friendly and helpful with a high level of customer care and have the ability to work as part of a committed team. Problem solving and using your own initiative to adapt to each situation are also essential attributes.
The vacancy is for a couple to cover all duties including (but not limited to):
Essential:
Daily cleaning and maintenance of toilet and shower blocks, laundry and outside sinks. This is a physically demanding role, especially in the peak season. In low season this will be approx. 2 hours a day in total, in peak season this could rise to 5 hours a day in total. The hours can be split between a couple or one person can work the total hours.
1 to 3 evenings per week on a rota for evening and night warden duties.
And any other tasks involved in assisting in the day to day running of the Park.
Desirable:
General repairs and maintenance to include basic electrical and plumbing work
Full driving licence
Previous experience as a campsite warden
A least one person within couple should be computer literate to help in reception/shop occasionally when required.
Working hours vary depending on how busy the Park is and usually range between 10 to 30 per week for the couple. Hours worked are paid at the living wage rate. Each couple will work the same days each week with 2 set days off. Work will be expected on weekends, bank holidays and a rota for on call evening/overnight warden duties (1 to 3 nights per week). A pitch is supplied for the duration of employment so the successful applicant must bring their own motorhome or touring caravan, where electric and water are also provided.
The position starts in April and lasts until early October. There are no hours available over the winter months. Interviews will be held in late February/early March.
