Howdy team,

In 2020 the blog is going to focus on things for you and family to do for free across Cornwall, or a very small amount as we all know that money doesn’t grow on any trees and holidays can add up.  Each week I will share with you our favourite places that cost very little so you can make the most of your time with us.

Today let’s talk about Cardinham Woods.  About 20 minutes drive from Little Winnick this Forestry England woodland is brilliant to explore with trails for all abilities, fitness levels on foot or by bike or even with a pushchair or wheelchair.  It is a dog walkers haven and a mummies delight with a brilliant cafe offering some pretty epic cakes and a lovely play area for the children.  The shortest of the trails is reasonably flat and great for balance bikes or those just off stabalisers.  We love having a break playing in the stream half way round.

If you want to meet up with friends then this is a brilliant location to suggest, with barbeques you can use, you can make a real occasion out of a visit.  Even in Januray there were families enjoying a good old BBQ.

Anna and I took one for the team and sampled the hot chocolates to report back to you – there were pretty special, and a nice touch to have the toddler one in a plastice cup and served at a drinkable temperature for Anna.
