Golly Gosh where is this season going?  After the storms of 2017 we seem to have been blessed with a summer we will be talking about in years to come. It a nutshell it has made the summer go in a blur more so than ever before.  I find myself forgetting to feed the children, let alone having the food in to feed them with in the first place!  That said we have spent the whole summer outdoors.

Today was no exception as we headed off to Trelissick – not my planned destination but I got distracted and we ended up there!  The large National Trust garden is wonderful for everyone with lots of paths to explore and trees to climb.  The children’s trail was a added bonus which kept the children engaged the whole way round.  We enjoyed a picnic before climbing the biggest tree and rolling down the large hills.  Afterwards we took an adventure on the King Harry Ferry to avoid the Truro traffic – and what excitement we had in our car as we glided across the water.  The drive over the Roseland Pennisular did not disapoint – as usual the stunning scenery kept us all entertained.

Whennot exploring the mass of Cornish gardens it is safe to say you will find us on the beach.  Be it Caerhays, Pentewan, Charlestown, Porthpean, Carne all our local beaches are stunning and have their own merits.  I am a stand up paddle board lover so I try and combine a beach trip these days with a safe place to launch with the children from – mainly Porthpean.  The children loved paddling over the rock pools getting a different perspective on them from normal.

This time of year is a mad merry dance.  Adrenaline fuels us to keep juggling pitches, aiming to keep everyone happy having the best holiday possible.  If you are staying we hope you are having a fabulous time and don’t forget you can keep up with all our mad antics over on Facebook and Instagram by searching for #campingpentewan
