Mike, our lovely warden has inspired this weeks blog because, yes you have guessed it, he has broken his leg.  He is fine and in good spirits, just very, very frustrated he cannot be out and about cutting his rather lovely stripes in the grass which he has been so proud of all season and which we have come to love and admire.

With Father’s Day just around the corner and my Dad coming to stay for not only Father’s Day but also his birthday (that’s going to cost me!) I have been thinking a lot about Dad’s. Richard and I are lucky to both have amazing Dad’s; both of whom in their own unique ways have helped us get to where we are and become who we are…

Last night we had the pleasure of enjoying Cornwall at its best; a long warm summers evening, down in the small village harbour of Gorran Haven eating fish and chips.  The beautiful harbour has long been talked about in our family as a great place for tea and a treat, yet we had never made it down there.
