The day finally arrived and we celebrated Rich’s birthday, for which I am sure he won’t thank me for broadcasting but we have been building up to it all year.  You see, Richard had said he would like a few nights away and kept dropping hints about The Scilly’s and various other places but with babysitters willing to have 3 children under 5 in short supply – so I hatched another cunning plan…

Wow, it is hot and lovely with clear blue skies and long, long barmy evenings – and we love it.  I should warn you we have a weather swear box in reception – so if you moan it is now too hot you will be asked to make a donation to the charity box!

We love June; the evenings are long and warm, the gardens are stunning and it is just a little bit quieter.  So why not come and make the most of this special time of year?  We are offering 7 nights for the price of 5 throughout June and early July so you can make the most of the weather…

As we are hit by yet more strong winds and rain I lose track of what storm is about to batter us next! But when the world is rough outside, there’s one thing sure to brighten my day – a good hot chocolate…

The Clemo family recently expanded, when Richard’s parents welcomed ‘Bonnie’ the Golden Retriever into the family. They have always had dogs and were missing a four legged friend to walk and explore Cornwall with…

Cornwall is glorious right now; after a damp start to the week it has gotten cold and bright, like the whole of the UK. I love it cold and crisp. Today we whizzed over to Watergate Bay for breakfast and although exceptionally bracing, it was absolutely stunning and made the hot chocolate even warmer and more like a hug in a mug than normal..
