Last night we had the pleasure of enjoying Cornwall at its best; a long warm summers evening, down in the small village harbour of Gorran Haven eating fish and chips.  The beautiful harbour has long been talked about in our family as a great place for tea and a treat, yet we had never made it down there.

When in Cornwall it is without doubt rude not to try a pasty…or two.  We take great pride in trying to find the best pasty of them all, and this week with friends visiting we sent them off with one soul aim; to bring us home an ‘Ann’s Pasty’ from the Lizard.

Last night we were lucky enough to witness  a pretty spectacular shooting star display down on the beach.  We could have been anywhere in the world.  It was warm, the food was amazing, the drinks were flowing.

So today is the 1st August and it is raining.  It is only meant to be full on rain today then odd showers this week.  But guess what our main topic of conversation is this morning – the weather.
