There is some irony in me writing this blog right now, as we are child free! The girls have gone for a week’s holiday with Nana & Grandad in Norfolk.  Out of the three days they have been gone we have spent two of those evenings in the pub.

Rain is not on the horizon, and if I write this it is guaranteed to be sunny, hopefully anyway, so here are a few ideas for the odd rainy day you may encounter…

If you are coming to Cornwall then surely top of your to do list is a dip in the water? My favourite thing in the whole world is a paddle out on my paddle board and I have to say I am pretty lucky to be going out tomorrow.

The summer holidays are here!  My favourite time of the year; when we are full to the brim at Little Winnick, and I get to have our girls at home for the whole summer. I am going to bring you a series of blogs that look at things that will not break the bank but that will also keep everyone entertained.

Well campers, what an incredible Easter we were lucky enough to experience; blue skies, barmy weather and chicks hatching. It really was a great few days and sets us in good stead for the season ahead.

Mevagissey is a perfect picture postcard Cornish Fishing Village; a stunning harbour, tea shops, tasty fish and chips and crabbing off the harbour walls.  Hop on the bus that stops right outside the campsite and 10 minutes later you will be engulfed in one of my favourite places to visit.

Where is Little Winnick?  To help you get to know the area around us the next few blogs will let you in on our favourite places just a stones throw from Little Winnick. So, let’s start with our nearest village – we are located on the edge of Pentewan, a pretty,  sleepy fishing harbour.

Howdy Campers, I feel very self-indulgent; let me set the scene for you, any parent, especially those with toddlers will know alone time is rare!  One day a week my mother in law has Anna whilst the bigger two are at school. So here I am, child free, dishes done, warm tea in hand with radio in the back ground, typing away…bliss!

Hi de hi Campers, it has been far too long, life has somehow, as it does, got in the way of blogging, but finally Richard has treated Little Winnick to a shiny new laptop so the cyber world is my oyster and I can share away with you – so hello, welcome back and let the fun and adventures begin.

I like to be honest with you and I hate to say it but there is an autumnal feel in the air.  Last night I had my slippers on for the first time since April and today I have my fleece on in the office – that hasn’t been needed since May (but I have found a £20 note in the pocket so it is not all bad!).
