A last-minute-Cornish-escape? Why not? The weather forecast is in, and it’s official: a proper heatwave has hit Cornwall! The sun is shining, the sky is a brilliant blue, and the coast is calling. If you’ve been dreaming of a spontaneous escape, now is the perfect time to pack your bags and head to our little slice of paradise.
We’ve got some last-minute pitches available and we’d love to welcome you. There’s no need to plan weeks or months ahead — sometimes the best adventures are the ones you don’t see coming. Check out our Latest Offers here.
Why a Spontaneous Trip is the Best Idea Right Now
With this glorious weather, there’s no better place to be than right here in our favourite corner of Cornwall. Imagine waking up to the sound of birds, spending your days exploring golden beaches, and ending the evening with a stunning sunset or campfire BBQ.
Little Winnick is a family-owned touring park which means we don’t have the noise and clubhouse facilities of larger campsites – but we work really hard to offer you a holiday of outstanding quality. There is good reason that many of our guests return to us again… and again.
We’ve got three main options when it comes to staying with us – there’s camping, caravanning and our newest option – glamping. Check them out, here.
Here’s a taste of what you could be doing the day you arrive:
- Beach days: The water is sparkling and inviting. Whether you want to plash about with your children, swim the length of the beach, or simply lounge with a good book, our local beaches are just a stone’s throw away. We love the vibe at Carlyon Bay with its sparkling sand, majestic rocks and buzzing food trucks. But Pentewan Sands has a special place in our hearts because it is just a walk away – and a shady one at that!
- Coastal walks: Feel the warm sea breeze and explore the famous South West Coast Path. The views are even more spectacular under a clear, sunny sky. If you’re new to coastal walking we recommend starting at Carlyon Bay, walking to historic Charlestown Harbour. Charlestown has a small beach and is a great spot for a pub lunch or a picnic – plenty of time to refuel before the walk back to Carlyon Bay.
- BBQs and campfire stories: As the sun sets, fire up the BBQ – it is probably our favourite way to enjoy a summer evening on-site. Toast marshmallows, share stories, and make memories under a sky full of stars.
Don’t Miss Out on This Sunshine!
This kind of weather doesn’t last forever, and neither will our pitches! We’ve saved a few spots just for you and your spontaneous summer plans. Don’t let this heatwave pass you by. Grab your tent, your family, or your friends, and make a dash for the coast.
